My work is impacted by the luminosity and colors that suffuse each season, the transparency and reflections of light and liquid, and the striations that appear when speeding by objects and light while traveling. It is abstraction, informed by landscape, cityscape and the everyday. I strive to construct or evoke something beautiful where there was once nothing.

Conceptually, I am most impressed by Andy Goldsworthy’s silent and powerful compositions, the textures of Cy Twombly and Joan Mitchell and the raw energy of Cecily Brown and Richard Doig.
These influences fuel my passion for color and enable me to attach meaning to the abstract.
